Cool Ok, What Are You Looking Forward To Most

About Spring? Yeah, I know it's about 30 degrees outside but we are supposed to feel some warmer temps in the next few days. (according to the forecasters). Still a couple weeks until the actual first day of spring but we spring forward late saturday night so I figured why not ask now. So what is it about spring that you are most ready for? Are you ready to open your windows to your home? To drive around with the windows down? For picnics and grill outs? To hit the parks and the great outdoors? To set up that patio furniture? To go streaking? (may want to wait til it gets to summer for this one, fully bloomed um uh bushes and shrubs may provide better places to run behind just in case) Are you ready to plant a garden or do some yardwork? How about busting out your bikes or rollerblades or skates? Perhaps you are most ready for short sleeve shirts and tops? Maybe shorts and skirts (might be a touch further down the road, but hey it aint that far away) For baseball season to get underway? To go shopping for spring and summer duds? To shed a couple more pounds in time for summer? To play ball or frisbee or just play? To bust out your hula hoop (with or without your hula skirt) To dine al fresco? For happy hour on the patio or porch? To just kick back and relax on a cool spring evening? To put on your shades and let the warm sunshine just reign down upon you? To let the rain um uh rain down upon you? (hey, it's rains in spring. that's just the way it is SHEESH!) Or to just put away those winter clothes until next winter?

What is it that you are looking forward to about spring the most?
    Just wondering.

Moving. That one word is too short for HB to deal with, so I'll say it again.

Swimming. I went swimming ever so briefly on Friday but it's too cold right now for a good swim. Snorkeling is out of the question for another month or so, but I miss that too. But it will feel like spring here by the weekend with highs in the low 80s expected. I'll take it.

Longer days too. Now even on nice days once that sun starts to set it gets chilly. I look forward to evenings that linger for hours before the sun sets. And BTW, anything below 65 is downright frigid to me at this point. Brrrrrrr...

Beach, I thought of you often in December while in Ireland. Daylight started about 8:30 and by 4:00 it was almost completely gone.

Ugh! I would hate that. Funny thing is the latest it stays daylight here, even in June is 9:00 while in Ohio twilight lingers until 9:30 or so in June.. But in the winter we do not get dark as early as it does in Ohio, our sunsets being never any earlier than 5:30. Spring and summer good, winter SUCKS.

Yeah, I know we have a few cold days left ahead, but I'm pretty much done with this winter thing. Can't wait for warmer sunny days ahead.

Re: Ok, What Are You Looking Forward To Most

My last comment kind of got in there out of context. My "ugh" I was referring to Gail's short hours of daylight in Ireland in December and it looked like I was saying how awful your weather is there now. Sounds like spring is there early for you, let's hope it lasts! I enjoyed myself immensely at the beach today, swimming is growing better. Only felt like I was being stabbed by 500 knives instead of 1,000....

Swimming was fun today. Only feels like being stabbed by 500 knives as opposed to 1,000
